Abstract


The study of the image of the current president Dilma Rousseff, search for the visual or immaterial representation, and can be comprehended through studies such as visual composition and semiotics. Not only in contemporaneity, these images can be potentialized through the media, suffer interference related to computer graphics or get published erroneously or maliciously in order to destroy or build certain discourses considering the individual and his/her contexts. This article presents an aesthetic analysis on the representational image of the current president of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff. The results indicate that the current president has gone through many challenges in her social and political life resulting in changes in her image over time which, consequently, helped the building of an image with firm and strong characteristics, but also sensitive to social causes, capable of sensitizing the Brazilians to win the supreme power, becoming the first woman to be elected president in the history of Brazil. However, it is expected that this study may arouse in females the need to face new challenges that lie ahead in our society.
